Our Cleaning Process
Aref’s has a unique way to clean rugs, we call it "Deep Cleaning." First the rug is spot checked and spot treated (checked and treated for rust, grease, urine, alcohol, etc.) After that, the rug is dipped in a huge pool filled with a solution specially formulated for Oriental rugs. Depending on how dirty the rug is, the rug can be dipped up to three or four times. This extracts all the dirt and sand hiding in the foundation of the rug. When you remove all that dirt and sand in the rug it prolongs the life of the rug, cleans the wool, and gets rid of any unpleasant odors. Then the rug is put through a comber and dryer. This process brings back the softness and luster to the wool.
